SEORL-CCC 2021 Awards
These awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony of the 73rd National Congress to be held in the year 2022.
To qualify for these awards, the first author must be a member of SEORL-CCC.
The decision of the Evaluation Committee will be final and will be communicated to the authors as soon as possible.
The Evaluation Committee that will select the winners of the awards will be made up of the following members:
- President
- Secretary General
- Scientific Committee
- Chair of the Training Committee
- Chair of the Research Committee
- Director of the Seorl-CCC Proceedings
The call for awards will close on 30th June 2021
The awards are the following:
ACTA ORL Española Award
It consists of € 1,000 (subtracting the corresponding withholding from this amount) and an honour diploma
This award will recognize the best paper published in the Acta Otorrinológica Española in 2020 as judged by the Evaluation Committee and the Journal editor.
Papers must be original and surgical, clinical or research based.
The paper must be emailed to: congreso.premios@seorl.net with the subject line “PREMIOS ACTA ORL 2020.”.
Best PhD Dissertation Award
It consists of € 1,000 (subtracting the corresponding withholding from this amount) and an honour diploma
This award will recognize the best PhD Dissertation on Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery read in2020.
Applicants to the award must send a hard copy of their dissertation to SEORL-CCC before the 30th June, 2021, including the grade earned and the members of the marking committee.
Also, the dissertation must be emailed in electronic format to: congreso.premios@seorl.net with the subject line “PREMIOS TESIS DOCTORAL.”
The winning dissertation will be included in the library of SEORL-CCC, while the other dissertations will be returned to their authors.
Best Clinical Paper Published in an International Journal Award
It consists of € 1,000 (subtracting the corresponding withholding from this amount) and an honour diploma
This award will recognize the best paper published in a journal receiving an impact factor in the Science Citation Index in 2020.
The papers must be original and made in Spain, and the first author must be a member of SEORL-CCC.
They may be surgical or clinical articles, excluding presentations of clinical cases and articles reviewing a subject.
Best Basic or Applied Research Paper Published in an International Journal Award
It consists of € 1,000 (subtracting the corresponding withholding from this amount) and an honour diploma
This award will recognize the best paper published in a journal receiving an impact factor in the Science Citation Index in 2020.
The papers must be original and made in Spain, and the first author must be a member of SEORL-CCC.
They may be basic or applied research articles, excluding articles reviewing a research topic.
The judging criteria will include the quality of the paper and the importance of the journal in which it was published.

‘Cátedra de Patología Auditiva UCAM – SEORLCCC’ Award
The award will consist of a free enrollment in the Máster Oficial de Audiología y Equilibrio de la UCAM, to the Mejor Trabajo relacionado con la Patología Auditiva, as well as an honorary diploma.
The purposes of this call are to promote and stimulate research to promote preventive actions in auditory pathologies. They must be oriented to the research field and related to their prevention, diagnosis and treatment. For its evaluation, the quality of the work and its relevance will be taken into account.
Only the first authors of works published during the year 2020, and / or of oral abstracts presented and accepted by the Scientific Committee for presentation in the current National Congress, will be eligible for this award.
It must be signed as the first author, by a member of the SEORL-CCC or an ORL Scientific Society with an agreement.
